Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – October 2016

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Got out of Matthew's Way

Round trip from Murrells Inlet, SC to Atlanta. Hurricane evacuation route took us through parts of SC we had never visited and was glad our Nuvi was right there with us. Thankfully upon our return, the house suffered no damage unlike two neighbors with trees against/through their houses.

Made the trip to...

ABQ for the Balloon Fiesta. What a fantastic event! At a loss of words how to describe it. Little Nuvi worked flawlessly.

Just Driving Around...

Nothing special this week... just driving around. smile

Evacuation Route

We followed the evacuation route which was through a lot of very rural countryside and the signs were few and far between. Once you got to Columbia, SC you were on your own from there. Glad I had the Nuvi with me.

I went to Europe and had maps for western Europe. Now I updated to the new North America and my vice command lost the ability to find places. My gps tells me the gps does not have the ability in English American.

Went shopping Sunday. We have builtin navigation in the car but took Jill to make sure she was ok after map updates.

Will be using Jill later this month as a back up for our first trip since we got our Accord with Navigation.

I installed the POIs we need to do our trip in the Accord and will set the route up the day before we leave (as I haven't found a way to save the route in the Accord).

Getting used to the Navigation in the Car. It is so much more convenient. With the cell phone and the Navigation for the Accord I never use Jill anymore for local areas.

Never thought I would say that. grin

Instead of saving the route, can you save the end point as a POI or Favorite?

I save my pois for my end points and my markers to get my route going where I want it to go. I then have to go and select each waypoint when I am ready for my trip and make my route. Each time I take the trip I have to select all over again. I know, not that much trouble, but it would be nice to just select the route. smile
