Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – October 2016

Happy October everyone - Fall seems to have arrived in North Texas. Got several rides planned before the snow flies. Tour of Honor has just 30 more days before it closes for this year.

Got some great flights in with my planes. Almost perfect weather, mid 70's, no wind and scattered clouds.

But I'll be heading to Minneapolis on Wednesday. See my daughter for a few days and then head back home. Just a little 1800 mile round trip.

The zumo 665 always does fantastic. I like watching the XM Weather to know when I'm gonna hit rain.

Speaking on behalf of my wife, she used GPS heavily this weekend travelling around northern Virginia for work.

Went and picked up my wife's new vehicle. Nice drive and I have really yet to drive the thing unless you count 10 ft from the driveway into the garage.

To babysit two grandchildren for a week. Hope I survive! My wife and I will have to run multiple carpools, to multiple activities throughout the day and into the night.

Once again, got stung by garmin's maps through neighborhoods. Had to detour around a bad accident but the map/routing kept trying to take me through dead end roads. Once upon a time they were through roads. However, since then they have been cut by fences and apartment buildings on top of where they used to be.

for our vacation in Canada. The Garmin got us where we needed to go and the car's system just gave us another view of the streets at a different zoom level. First time using it out of the country.

We got back from our Vegas trip October 6. Three weeks of sleeping in, sitting by the pool and seeing a few shows. And the day after we get back, it SNOWS

The only bad thing about our Fall trip is that, when we get back, I know winter is coming...

Didn't have to drive anywhere this weekend really. Had Thanksgiving at our house - did up two turkeys (one in oven, then one in smoker).

Good day had by all as we also saw the Jays Sweep the Rangers.

Went shopping Sunday. We have builtin navigation in the car but took Jill to make sure she was ok after map updates.

Will be using Jill later this month as a back up for our first trip since we got our Accord with Navigation.

I installed the POIs we need to do our trip in the Accord and will set the route up the day before we leave (as I haven't found a way to save the route in the Accord).

Getting used to the Navigation in the Car. It is so much more convenient. With the cell phone and the Navigation for the Accord I never use Jill anymore for local areas.

Never thought I would say that.

Still getting the branches and stuff out of the yard from the storm.

My birthday has just passed.

Instead of saving the route, can you save the end point as a POI or Favorite?
