Find DEF Pumps

I wonder if anyone is working on developing a POI list for the location of pumps dispensing Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). There's a good website available for this purpose (Discover DEF -- http://www.discoverdef.com) but it's not as convenient as having a POI list of DEF pump locations right on my GPSr.

Truck Stops

I believe Donaldb has those truck stops with DEF listed in his file. But about 99% of them now carry bulk DEF and about the same number have it in containers.

I think it's pretty safe to

I think it's pretty safe to say that any place that sell diesel anymore, has DEF in one form or another. Most chain truck stops have added the dispensers.

The local gas stations on the corners in many towns that sell diesel.. you know, the BP's. Exxon's, Shell's and on and on, or would it be the stations primarily along the interstates as you traverse the continent?

I don't burn diesel, just curious.

Inquiring minds wanna know!!

TIA

I just joined the DEF users this summer. It is NOT available at most Diesel stations. Truck stops do have it as well as Auto parts stores and in my case a VW dealer, though the dealers prices are outrageous. The dealer price is at least 4 times more than buying DEF in a Auto parts store. Truck stops sell it in bulk for under US$ 3.00 a US gallon.
Once the DEF tank is full I should be good for about 10,000 miles (16,000km).
So the immediate need of having it available at regular service stations is very low. This past summer I filled my tank, did a 4,000 mile (6,000km) road trip and when I returned re-filled the tank. It took almost one third of capacity.

Should be Readily Available

I had diesels for years, so I latch onto these things.

I'm seeing DEF all over... even little convenience stores.

Should not be a problem to obtain.

When you are dead, you don’t know that you are dead. It is only difficult for the others. It is the same when you are stupid.

Thank you

one and all...

I was just curious... not using a diesel I just didn't know..

It's just one of those little things I'll tuck away for later abuse.

Thanks again

It's like oil change....

Most DEF holding tanks hold enough for a couple months or more. The more you turn off your vehicle or truck the more you use or at least that is what I was told. I leave my truck running almost all day and use very little. We get bulk DEF but if I used if for personal vehicle I would just watch for a sale and pick up a box or two at auto zone.
