Delete Custom POI's Nuvi 2559

Tried to delete custom POI's from my Nuvi 2559. Found the files from the unit on my Macbook using Finder. Sent them to the trash but they remained on the 2559. Tried POI loader to delete them but to no avail. Eventually called Garmin. The rep said that moving them to the trash is only the first step. You actually have to empty the trash before they will be removed from the Nuvi. He told me that it is a Mac issue.

Many members here have had that problem in the past.That is a step that has to be done.
