There is always bad news

I’ve got good news and bad news…

The good news is:
Mondays only happen once a week.

The bad news is:
I lied, there is no bad news.

Drive safely and I’ll see when some good news happens again…

Somewhere, somehow, sometime.
Just maybe not today.

But, today we can rest easy.

Burnt Ends

BobbyHipperson wrote:

We decided to make a weekend trip to Kalispell, Montana and stopped at a Famous Dave's for lunch. I wasn't to hungry so I ordered a beer and an appetizer called "burnt ends." I had no idea what they were but figured any appetizer with a tall cold one was worth the adventure.

Oh my.....those were the best things I have had in a long time. I ordered 2 more to go and had another serving that night in the hotel room and nuked the other one in a coffee cup in the Best Western I was staying at and poured them over the eggs at the free breakfast the following morning.

Thankfully, I live 200 miles from the place or I'd have to double up on the cholesterol meds

MMmm caffeine

mmmm. Caffeine grin

Speaking of...I do have to say that the little travel French presses (basically it is a French press built into an insulated travel coffee cup) are awesome and win grin As long as you can get some hot water, you're good.

And yes, they do work for tea (for those who can't do coffee for whatever reason). I've used them for loose-leaf tea (sometimes yerba mate, sometimes rooibos, sometimes non-caffeine herbal teas) and they work well for this.

Now I just have to figure out a solution for hot water on the road other than truck stops grin

burnt ends looks like a lunch in itself

That's more than I eat in a meal. Appetizer???? I would be stuffed and not able to eat anything else after the appetizer.

Look at this! Just take bottles of water and pour in glass.
