Condo Complex Nuvi 2689LTM

I came from the TomTom world, first Garmin, I live in a rather large condo complex, they have no street names but the main entrance has a street address (i.e. 229 whatever road). The last 3 GPS units were TomTom and they showed the road configuration of the complex even the cul-de-sacs (fancy name for each parking lot) my Garmin just shows a dot for home and tells me navigating off road when I enter.
Can I draw in the complex, its on google maps and even mapquest shows the innards of the complex or is it just a Garmin thing.
Its not a catastrophe, one of the best GPS units ever had, just a "me" thing.
Thanks all

Not sure what you mean

by "draw in" the complex but as far as I know there is no way to alter the installed maps. You can report the error to Garmin and they will have their map gurus update the issue...probably by 2022 smile

Condos and apts

First, I don't see a way to add the access roads to your current map.

But in my neck of the woods (in a city of 65,000), most apartment and condo access roads are included and have been for the past several map updates. In fact, for a few map updates, my nuvi wanted me to use one apartment access driveway and another drive to exit even though I lived in a townhouse across the street from the apartments. I complained and a couple map updates later, the use of apartment streets was removed except for actual access to the apartment complex.

My suggestion is to file a map change request with Garmin and Here and with luck, your condos' inner roads will appear on a future map update.

I think we have a faq here on how to report map errors but even looking through jgermann's Index, I can't find it right now. Someone else should soon offer it.

Good luck, and keep posting to keep your attractive windmill.

I have used Basecamp to report errors and omissions with limited success. There hasn't been much positive feedback on the correction process among our members however.
