iPhone 7 Rumors

So I've been in a very happy relationship with my iPhone 6+, minding my own business, when rumors of what the iPhone 7 might have began. One of the features I'm still most impressed with my 6+ is the camera. Now I hear the 7+ is supposed to have a significantly improved camera! My weakness. I guess instead of getting the newest Nikon, I can "save money" by getting the 7+ instead?

For those who like iPhones and potential iPhone customers, what is your favorite iPhone 7 rumor?

Plenty

I'm intrigued with the possibility of getting rid of the headphone jack. Another rumor is that the mechanical switches will be replaced with touch sensitive switches.

I'd also like to see wireless charging, that has been tossed around for a while, seems inevitable now.

One rumor I saw was that 7

One rumor I saw was that 7 may come in a flip phone, or perhaps a much smaller phone with reduced features. That would appeal to me. I find that outside of being able to do text on my phone and my computer, and easier file exchange, I don't use most of the features on the iPhone.

The single biggest reason I went with a smartphone in the first place was a real keyboard. I despise having to type text on a number keyboard.

Wireless Chaging?

Wireless charging, I have had it as an option since my old Droid!, my son tells me it is standard on his Galaxy. optional on mine. I love it however as the charging pad runs off 110 it doesn't work in the car without a bulky inverter. Do you think Apple will fix that? Oh, Bluetooth does away with the need for the headphone jack though my Galaxy has both.

New?

Me too! My old Nexus 4 has always had wireless charging.
I guess it's new for iPhones .....

There is the Apple Way

I'm sure when Apple implements wireless charging, it will be in such a way that makes what Samsung is doing will look silly. Apple follows the market trends, and when it does, it does it far better.

There is lots of chatter about a new dual lens camera and other camera technology that will improve image quality even more.

I hope so ...

My LG Nexus 4 has had it since 2012. If Apple can't do better in 4 years, they are truly in trouble. confused

I even see that Samsung have outpaced them in the US in 2015.

I can't help but compare this to what happened to Blackberry ... redface

So when you said, "I hope so," did you mean you hope Apple gets Android features like wireless charging or improved camera quality, or did you mean you hope Apple goes the way of the Blackberry? I get the feeling you're rooting for failure here.

I have not heard any rumors about the 7.

There are a couple of good ideas

The Lightning earphone jack seems interesting. Will require replacing any wired earphones. New camera sounds interesting too. My iPhone 6s already has a pretty good camera. Use the 240 fps slow motion video quite a bit.

Have no interest in a wireless charging capability. Easy to use the current configuration of plugin charging.

There are Features, and there are features the way Apple does it

Just remember that when Apple does a feature, they do it much better than the rest. Apple makes it clear that they do not do things just to do it or because someone else is doing it, but wait until the feature and time is right. Must say, they are pretty good at it.

The Android crowd is still seething over the fact that iPhones do not have memory card slots. The people that use iPhones are not bothered at all about it.
