Two new Zumo models out

Garmin is releasing two new Zumo models: 595LM and 395LM. It will be interesting to see if this has any affect on the existing Zumo models' pricing.

Maps -> Wife -> Garmin 12XL -> StreetPilot 2610 -> Nuvi 660 (blown speaker) -> Nuvi 3790LMT

Thanks for pointing these out

I've always wanted a Zumo, maybe this year ....

I use my old 255 in a case and its not optimal, especially as time passes

Thanks for the heads up. I

Thanks for the heads up.

I have two Zumo's, a 450 on my bike and a 550 on the wife's. The only real difference between the two is the 550 can speak street names via bluetooth and a helmet speaker. I don't use a helmet when allowed the choice so I'm not missing anything there.

They were state of the art back when they were new, compared to today's models they are ancient technology. The maps lag a bit compared to my newer Nuvi models, but they still work and I still update the maps (with the help of an SD card).

I've thought of upgrading a few times. What always stops me is the price & the lack of a "lock". The Zumo's I have have a small screw with a special head that locks the GPS onto the handlebars. Sure it can be beat by a determined thief, but the average thief is deterred. I like to leave mine on the bike all the time. I know some aftermarket companies have made bolt on locks for later models but I liked the simplicity of the screw. No idea why they stopped using it.
