RV 760 Not Announcing POIs

When I load custom POI files like Walmart locations and the announcement that goes with the file, my RV 760 does not seem to recognize or use them. My other GPS uses the same files and the announcements come through at the selected distance. I have loaded them the same way and just can't seem to get them to work on the 760. What am I doing wrong?

Wav and sox.exe

Your 755 uses mp3 for voice alerts the RV 760 will need wav and sox.exe for the alerts. See http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25730 .Here is a video if needed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsJTUmvb6_o

Lots of users just use wav files for both units and install sox.exe on the computer. That way you don't have to keep up with two filling systems.

At the same time?

Just wondering if you used POI Loader to load your RV760 and nuvi755 back to back or were the runs of POI Loader separated by some period of time. If one worked, then it would seem to me that the other should work.

I am assuming that you have the rv760 unmuted.

I also am assuming that on the 760 you have gone to Settings > Proximity Alerts and correctly set both the "Audio" and "Alerts" options (see page 14 of the User Manual)

Nope

Unless you have sox.exe installed as posted by charlesd45 just because one works doesn't mean the other will.
