I'm happy to announce that our general maintainers have selected alandb as POI Factory's Contributor of the Year for 2015!

Alandb is a mainstay in our discussion forums. He’s always willing to work with other members of the community to answer questions or help with troubleshooting, individually or as a team. A great example of this can be seen in this thread from September 2460 not showing roads after 2016.10

He maintains multiple FAQ’s including a list of the Garmin GPS Models Release Date History

In general, Alan's friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, level headed, and always polite.

It’s a pleasure to add him to the ranks of POI Factories Contributors of the Year!

Congratulations to all our nominees and thanks to everyone who voted. We have a delightful community that continues to thrive because of the care and attention of our many active members.

And a great way to start the new year! With so many deserving members on POI Factory, it is truly an honor to be selected as the Contributor of the Year.

Thanks to the POI Factory members who voted ... not only those who voted for me but also thanks to those who voted for the other deserving members.

Also thanks to JM and Globe Turtle for providing such a wonderful forum. The continuing popularity of the POI Factory forum when so many others are in decline proves that it consistently has the right mix of valuable content, useful information and social networking friendship.
