Re-flash firmware for 3590?

After a couple years of no firmware updates, or map updates. I installed Garmin Express 4.1.11.0 last week (updated to 4.1.12.0 today). Updated the NA maps, and the software on the nuvi to Ver. 8.20 - From Version 7.50 - November 27, 2012
Not sure if the GPS firmware updated last week or not? From the nuvi "About" page - My installed Version 2.28.12
Voice Command Version is 2.30 (English American)

Now I'm having issues with slow updating of route navigation. Route Calculation is slow. Voice command isn't as spiffy as it should be. Along with some other minor issues.

From reading some other posts it seems that there may be a way to manually Re-Flash the unit?
Could someone link me to the directions for the process? Maybe a detailed youtube video of the process?
(I've searched and could not find anything on the net)

I don't have any old backups of the unit. I will of course back up the nuvi before re-flashing.

Features that are turned off:
TrafficTrends
Travel History
myTrends
Trip Log has been deleted

I do have an 8GB microSD installed in the nuvi for POI's and excess map updates.

From your image

From your image, you did update to v8.20 (the 4th line).

You could try a hard reset before trying to reinstall 8.2

If a hard reset still leaves things sluggish, maybe someone else will have given you the reflash procedure. I think it involves editing your xml file to fool the software into think you have older software, then re-running Garmin Express or WebUpdater to reinstall 8.20. A search here at the factory for backdating nuvi software may find the procedure which may have been offered by our DorkusNimrod. Of course, my memories may be totally wrong.

Good luck.
