POI Sort

I have a new Rand McNally 7735. I have loaded some of my personal POI's but they are not in alphabetical order. How do I re-sort on the GPS?

Don

Probably shouldn't be

If Rand McNally GPS's work like Garmin GPS's, you won't see them in alphabetic order - they'll always be in DISTANCE order, from closest to farthest. One more point: in the Garmin world, as you page through the entries, you'll only be able to see the first 50. The rest are there, you just won't be able to see them. Again, I don't know if Rand McNally units have this particular restriction.

POI Sort

I understand that for an individule POI (ie: Good Sam). My question referred to how they are listed. ie: Walmart, Target, GoodSam, etc. This list is out of order.

Don

as its not Garmin

As the RM unit is not Garmin, you will need to experiment. If I remember correctly each poi has to be loaded separately so it may be as simple as the order in which they are loaded. You may be able to rearrange them in whatever directory RM uses as well.

I have never used a Rand

I have never used a Rand McNalley GPS, but in my Garmin over the years I have never seen the list in alphabetical order. I suspect the list is in order of install although I don't know that for a fact.

Mine are. I have a main

Mine are.
I have a main folder "my poi".
Subfolders such as hotels, fast food, restaurants, etc.
And I let poi-loader reload all of them at once as "my poi" to the gps.

POI's

As said by others I also do not have a RM GPS.

But when I install custom POI's into my two Garmins, the directories or folders are in an alphabetical order. But then inside the folders the locations are sorted by distance from the current location. Regardless of what you do in a Garmin, that is how it works.
