You probably
You probably would need to turn myTrends on and then the GPS would, over time, learn your route from say your home to work. It has been my experience that myTrends causes as many problems at it solves. I turned it off years ago.

Remembering
I think you've already been offered info on learning routes. Even with myTrends on, it will take time for the nuvi to learn your routes. As far as remembering routes, I would expect your device has the ability to Save a route, but Saving a route is a process that you need to perform if you want to access it in the future. See page 12 of your manual:
