Hi.
I have installed the maps on Windows 7 and it Works fine. When I try to install the maps from CD using Windows 8.1 I get diskerror - and I have not been able to use my New computer. I have tryed to copy the maps from my Windows 7 computer to the Windows 8.1 computer, but I have not got it to work. I took contact With Garmin in NOrway. They told me the maps was to old and told be to by New maps. I've already used a lot of Money on maps and hope I can use them in my new computer with a little help.
Hope someone can give me some help.

Diskerror reading the CD?
If this is a CD you burned, then it is possible another computer could have problems reading it. On your older computer, transfer the CD to a flash drive then try putting it on the newer computer from the flash drive.
With Windows 8, it could also be a problem is you are trying to copy/install into the root of the C Drive. Create another directory and then try to install/copy to that directory.
Otherwise, what is the exact error message and exactly what are you doing when you get it?

If the CD contains a setup exe file of some kind you could try using Windows 8's compatibility mode to run the install as if it was an older Windows OS. Just right click on the exe file and select Properties. When the Properties window opens, click on the Compatibility tab. On the Compatibility page, put a check mark in the Run the program in compatibility mode for: box and select an older OS like Windows XP.
