Good Alternative or Backup?

I've been testing this XGPS160 SkyPro GPS Receiver for about a week now and so far I've been happy with it. This 2nd generation GPS Receiver features even faster acquisition, 10Hz positioning updates and Bluetooth connectivity to up to 5 devices. The WAAS receiver simultaneously receives both GPS (USA) and GLONASS (Russia) satellite system signals. It's for iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone and Android tablets and phones, even Windows laptops.

For now, I'm testing it on my Samsung Note 4 with downloaded Here maps offline and disabled the built-in gps to test it and it seems to be working. On my Windows Surface Pro 2, using Google Earth, I'm getting my location accurate to about 2 meters or even less. I haven't tested it yet moving as in a car, only at home.
