Anyone ever update a Chevy MyLink system? I noticed that it has a "Safety Camera" category but the cameras are considerably out of date.

Anyone ever update a Chevy MyLink system? I noticed that it has a "Safety Camera" category but the cameras are considerably out of date.

Assume you are referring to the Navigation system of MyLink. Just want to be clear as MyLink is available in many Chevrolet vehicles and not all of them have the navigation system included.
Nuvi 350, 760, 1695LM, 3790LMT, 2460LMT, 3597LMTHD, DriveLuxe 50LMTHD, DriveSmart 61, Garmin Drive 52, Garmin Backup Camera 40 and TomTom XXL540s.

Yes, the navigation POI's on the Chevy MyLink system has categories to display POI's on the maps.
I found info that the POIs
I found info that the POIs have to be in decimal format but otherwise should be able to be updated.

GM MyLink GPS POI format
Longitude coordinate, Latitude coordinate,Name of POI,Additional information,Phone number.
Example: 7.0350000,50.6318040,Michaels Home,123 Maple Lane,2379234567
The phone # could be in either of the following forms:
(xxx)yyy-zzzz or xxxyyyzzz
I was able to call them from the GPS through my linked cell phone.
There are rumors that there is a max # of characters. The following is the longest point I have successfully entered:
-85.743941,35.699429,ZApplebee's Knoxville,7585 Central Avenue(Merchants Lane);Knoxville TN 37912,(865)689-3300
I was able to search IF I TYPED the name in.
***BUT*** the voice search DID NOT work!!!

How do you get them on there-can you load them from external media like a thumb drive, or are they keyed individually? Nice to hear someone finally understands users want more POI's than what is provided sometimes.
