Disable "Find Parking" banner/symbol?

Does anyone know a way to disable this feature? I don't like it popping up as I'm arriving to a destination.

I just recently disabled "junction view" by renaming the file extension of the file. Wondering if there is a similar file I could rename in order to prevent the "find parking" feature from activating. Thanks.

3490? Smartphone Link?

It would help if your profile (or text in your post) listed what devices (and apps) you are using.

I think you have a nuvi 3490LMT and from info in the owners manual for it, I also assume you have a smartphone and have enabled Garmin's Smartphone Link.

I've looked on my nuvi and my smartphone and see that Dynamic Parking is a free service and as far as I can tell, all free services like weather and parking, and subscribed services (traffic, advanced weather, photos) on Smartphone Link are not able to be manually disabled.

You can choose not to use Smartphone Link but that will disable all apps between the phone and nuvi. You could also contact Garmin or the Smartphone Link app folks and ask if it can be done—and if not, ask that the next version of Smartphone Link offer the ability to individually disable subscribed services. (I would like to see manual disabling offered as well.)

I will admit that in my city with a population of under 100,000, I've never seen a parking pop-up, but then I also can use the app to look for parking and it'll say None Found. I expect it appears in large cities especially where parking may be hard to find.

Guess you can't attach pics on this website...

It's an undocumented feature on my 3490lmt. When near you're a destination in a dense city area, a banner will pop up (where the upcoming street name is normally displayed) informing you to "find parking" and then disappear. Then a "P" will appear on the upper left corner of the screen. Touching the "P" shows nearby parking garages.

The banner can be annoying because it can pop up just as you're about to make a turn.

Also, this is a feature that appears even without a smartphone link.

I'm in the DC area and see it quite often.
