GRMN announces PacMan feature on new 2015 Prestige Line

Tired of meaningless Lifetime Traffic with routing on roads that no local would ever use? GRMN has announced today a new Pacman feature on its much anticipated 2015 Prestige line. When stuck in traffic a Yellow pacman will pop up on the display. Utilizing the newly developed V2V communication protocol the pacman will take control over those annoying vehicles in front you and move them either onto the shoulder or off the nearest side street or exit. On the display will be be the traditional yellow guy gobbling up the road ahead of you as you can now speed along at the limit.

A spokesman for the company has been quoted as saying: “We have listened to our loyal users a have finally been able to deliver a really useful feature that has been long requested. It is not anticipated that pacman will appear on either the Desl or OEM version SatNavs. Take that Android & 'iii' Guy!”

April Fools

Good one! Google Earth is doing this today as well, according to the news last night. Get directions from Google and the roads turn into a Pacman game. Can't confirm it is actually happening but that's what the local TV news was reporting last night.

You got me for a second ...

I was enthused and horrified at the possibility that someone had stuck a PacMan game on a GPS you could play and control with your driving (e.g. turn car left to make car PacMan on GPS turn left ...)!

Ratz

I was really enthused about the potential V2V function. I was hoping this functionality would send out reroutng or detour messages to all the other GOD's to rout those devices off the road so it would be clear sailing for me!

Silly me laugh out loud

Funny

Funny. I think Google Maps did a similar thing this year.

Looks like Prestige series

Looks like Prestige series is history now. Looks like Garmin have no new features to offer which they include in Prestige series.
