POI category - trucking suggestion

We may be able to find a new spot for it, what kind of files are they?

I have 1 posted...Business Dock Locations (business locations.gpx). I'm working on a Sterling truck repair facility file. The Weigh Station file could also be included. Basically anything that pertains to trucking would be included in the category.

Listings of restaurants, attractions, hotels-motels and almost anything else that has room for truck parking would be of great use.

There are a lot of truck drivers that are running gps units. With a little bit of word of mouth, they could be enticed to visit the site. And they would keep coming back if there were files for them that they could use.

Last that I heard, there were 1.5 million truck drivers in the U.S.

not forgotten at all, Jon and I are talking about making a special hang out here on our site for you guys and gals that drive truck. It would be like the metro area section and would include everything related to your field of work.

We went on vacation for a few weeks and then when we got back I pinched a nerve in my neck or something and have been having a hard time getting work done. I am slowely catching back up and I will meet with Jon this afternoon about this idea again.

I just thought maybe the topic got lost in the multitude of other posts.

I'm new to this board and I'm also a trucker. I love this website and hope it will expand it's files for us truckers. There is a lot of us that have GPS and we are looking for POI's to help us.

It seems to me that Transportation is the major category, but YMMV.

I drive a Limo in LA and would expect related resources to live under Transportation also.
