Interesting
Kind of interesting to see that 57% of their revenue came from non-automotive sources for the year. I don't know if they sell more of the non-automotive GPS units or if they just generate higher profits.
They
They probably make more money selling a hundred aircraft GPS system than they do selling 10000, maybe 100000, Nuvi's.
Nuvi 350, 760, 1695LM, 3790LMT, 2460LMT, 3597LMTHD, DriveLuxe 50LMTHD, DriveSmart 61, Garmin Drive 52, Garmin Backup Camera 40 and TomTom XXL540s.
I would
think that the aircraft GPS would be more expensive. That has to be 100% correct and more input as opposed to car units. Sound right?
nuvi 1390 LT, nuvi 1450 LMT, Win 10
Aviation
I know Garmin is a very big name in aviation navigation equipment.
Garmin Drive Smart 61 NA LMT-S
Marine units are a big seller
Garmin marine units have been very popular for a long time, perhaps the biggest selling for smaller boats. Also, the charts (maps) cover a limited area so if you travel far, Garmin will make more money.
It's a market where phone based gps units would not provide much competition.
