New user - question (delete existing files in the GPS folder?)

With Garmin's, they'll be over-written with the new files.

If you are asking about the POI Factory camera files for a Garmin device, the camera files are .CSV files, not .GPX files. They are loaded with Garmin's POI Loader program and do not end up in the GPX folder. They will be in the POI folder and will have a name with a .GPI file extension. You provide the name of the output file in the POI Loader program, so if you choose the same file name, it will overwrite the previous file as Juggernaut indicated.

No need to delete. Just update as often as you want to. Updates are issued frequently.

Are you asking about a Garmin device or about the Navigon 7200T shown in your profile?

You said you "just signed up here", but your profile shows you have been a member for 5 years and 34 weeks.

Not that it matters in getting your question answered ... just curious. It made me think your profile showing "other 7200T" as your GPS device might be old information from earlier access to this account.

You may want to at least delete all the other language files that you will never use just for space!

Since the OP downloaded the camera file(s) I thought maybe that was what he "just signed up" for and not becoming a new member.

Did POI Factory camera files ever work with Navigon? I don't recall ever seeing mention of it in the forums.
