Good Price On A Refurbished Tablet At Woot Today

Over at Woot they have a refurbished Asus ME173X-A1-BL MeMO Pad 7" tablet for just $64.99. While this model is a little older it still has good specs and it would make a great unit to use for navigation by adding one of the free or low cost offline navigation apps. It does include the GPS sensor, however it is WiFi only so you would need an offline app. It could also be good to use as a reader like a Kindle or as a tablet for those who don't necessarily need the latest and greatest. I never used to believe
in black friday / cyber monday, but 16 gb iPad Airs for $319, that was pretty good, they were $499 a year ago. Not that I bought one though....

When I ran across Woot a few years ago, I found that their return policy was "You bought it, if it's broke or defective you have to try to get the manufacturer to resolve it, we don't accept returns." I doubt that they can really get away with that, but just knowing that was their policy was enough to make me pass on what could have been a good deal. Unless they have wised up and changed their policy, I would advise others to avoid them. Particularly for "refurbished" items, which seem to have more problems than new items.

I have a friend who swears by Woot. For the occasional time you get ripped off, the overall deals are well worth it in the longrun. I'm going to give it a try right now. Good Luck
