What Would Be Your Ultimate Automobile And Smartphone Navigation Choices From Garmin?

As posted above, knowing what you know now, say you wanted to purchase both a Garmin automobile navigator and a smartphone with Garmin app, what would you get?

Would you get a Garmin Nüvi 3597LMTHD for the windshield and an Apple iPhone 5S with the Garmin StreetPilot Onboard app?

Or, would you get a Garmin nüvi 2598LMTHD for the windshield and a Samsung Galaxy S5 with the Garmin Viago app?

Also, with regards to cellular mobile telephone companies, again if money is not the primary concern, would Verizon be the definitive choice here? Or, would some people still select AT&T?

Petty much what I am using now:

[With a diversity of in house equipment to choose & as reference]:

Nuvi:1450LMT (due to its superior screen/KISS operation).
Cell service: Verizon/Casio G'zOne Ravine2 (voice only flip).
Handheld hiker: Garmin eTrex30 (w/OSM + GPSFiledepot topo) for both trail & on foot City Navigation.
All equipment backed up on a HP/Win 7 Laptop (set for road duties).
Photography: Panasonic Lumix FZxxx
MicroSd cards: Transcend/Sandisk.
Power by Eneloops & C.O.D. when possible.
Fly fishing vest for it all (no backpack) by Gander Mtn
(I don't hunt so no camo ever/anyplace)!

For all those hitting the road or open waters: may the flow be w/you.

And it works great. I like my 3597 better than Viago. Dedicated-function devices still have their places. I do use Viago when I do a casual stroll in my neighborhood just to find out how far I have wondered away from home.

3597 And Iphone 5S

Are what I'm using now. Not sure if I'd consider it the ultimate or not at this point.

The 3597 is by far the best Garmin automotive gps I've owned to date. The jury is still out on the nav apps I'm running on the 5S though. Garmin's Smartlink and Viago apps as well as Waze all have their pros and cons. I'll be more specific in a separate post after I get more on road experience.
