Go Hands-Free With These Smartphone Mounts (Pictures)

Though hands-free device

Though hands-free device mounts are great I don't use them. In my car BT hooks up and I just use the options within my car that is synced with my phone.

Less things to look at on my windshield.

Thanks

Good reference

Nice

A couple of nice ones I might try.

My mount of choice

I've got an OtterBox for my Droid Bionic. I just put a Velcro strip on the back of the belt clip and stick it to the dash. I guess I'm cheap like that lol. It keeps it out of the sun though.

Great idea. Nothing cheap

Great idea. Nothing cheap about it.

Great until the weather changes

I've found these work fine until the weather changes - very cold or extremely hot and then then most fall off - particularly the windshield ones. Finally found one from Merkury systems which holds like a vice grip to my dash and very happy.

Mounts

I have these in all my 3 cars...I use them for my phone...not sure if they work for GPS...you can actually get them cheaper around $10.00 less if you search web! Work GREAT! http://www.niteize.com/collection/steelie.asp

I'm located in the Sonoran desert with massive temperature extremes. Best mount I have used so far is the Mountek CD mount. Unaffected by temperature ever.

.

That's what I use too. Not because of temperature extremes, just because of convenience.

BT

I use the BT through my car radio and before that I used a $25.00 Motorola BT unit that clips on the visor and worked very well.

thank you

Shank you for the link.

I have a mount I bought from ebay but if it fails, I will upgrade to a better ones from here.

i wonder

When I read about this hands-free patents I wonder why people have to blast theirs conversations out loud through car radio? I even met few times people on the street who were talking on their phone using loudspeaker. If you want hands-free why not buy simple Bluetooth headset (this one you put on your ear)? You than can keep your phone even in your pocket. Why I have to listening to someones conversation?
