Nokia Lumia WIndows Phone 1520

I was eligible for a new phone but held off for a few months, hearing that a new Windows Phone would be out in the spring of 2012. I got a Nokia Lumia 900 in May of 2012 when it came out, and used the free Nokia Drive GPS app, only having to download the map set that I wanted to use. It turned out to work well for me, after having used Tom Tom and CoPilot on my iPhone.
Now that the Nokia Lumia 1520 came out in November, and the bonus fact that I am eligible for an upgrade after 18 months with my corporate at&t plan, I went ahead and got it in December.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 comes with a new and improved Windows 8 and the replacement GPS app of "Here Drive+". This is even better than Nokia Drive and I now use it for about everything.
As of now, Nokia does not have a provision for adding custom POI files. Between the free apps from Nokia, I am still working on getting around the lack of custom POI's though.

And now, back to your regularly scheduled forum - already in progress . . .

I really like Nokia Drive+,

I really like Nokia Drive+, but it doesn't quite replace my Garmin. Two things drive me batty - I can't "cruise" while looking for POI's (e.g. drive around looking for Fast Food), and I it doesn't tell me which side of the road my destination is at.

The latter is really the killer one.
