Clearing password from C530

I want to sell or give away my Garmin C530, but want to clear all user data from it first. So far, I've been able to clear Favorites and Recent places. All good.

I want to clear the password and secret place. Do I need to be at that place to do it, and can I completely clear that data as well?

Secret

Yes, go to the secret place, unlock, then go in Settings and turn it off. The data won't be retained. Then turn it off and restart pressing the bottom right hand corner until it fully boots, you will be given a prompt to erase all data.

You do not have to be at the secret place to unlock it

You only have to be at the secret place to unlock it if you forget the password. Just enter the password and go to the security settings and turn off security.

It's either or, secret place or entering pin.
By entering Pin and then disabling the lock will accomplish what you need.
