voice in 2460 (finally got it to work)

I finally got the voice alert to work on my 2460, I had to revert back to sox 14.0.1, did not work with the later versions. Thanks to all who tried to help, had me going nuts

Glad you finally got it to work.

I'm confused though, in the original thread it was suggested you re-download sox 14.0.1 which you confirmed you did, so what has changed?

as far as I know, nothing changed I just redownloaded it again now it works.

All you need

All you need is for one byte to get garbled in the download and nothing works.

Went through hell a while back due to a failing/flaky cable modem that kept my map download from working properly. Thank goodness I got a Tech at Garmin that knew how to circumvent the download problem by downloading one section of the map at a time.
