Speed Camera labeled as RedLight Camera

I signed up for the subscription today and download the Speed-Cameras.csv and Redlight-Cameras.csv (Oct-30-2013).

I noticed that some of the Speed Cameras are being labeled as "Redlight Camera". For example:

In Redlight-Cameras.csv, there's a record:

-91.01758 41.45936 RLC - US-61 & University Dr IA Muscatine poi-factory Oct30 13

This record is NOT in "Speed-Cameras.csv".

In my opinion, this would be a serious problem. Usually, people are not stupid enough to run the red light. But if they saw a green light, their instinct is to speed through. They'd be caught if that's a speed camera instead of a red light camera.

You may verify the camera type on http://www.ecriteria.net/eCriteriaSearchCriteriaAction.asp. Select : State = IA. City = Muscatine.

looks like a combo camera

According to the Muscatine Official Website that location is a combination RLC/Speed.
The 9/2012 report shows the average speed at that intersection is 58.61 MPH.

Red light or speed

I was not able to follow your link, but I checked into the documentation we have on this location.
The main source came from this article.
http://muscatinejournal.com/news/local/last-of-red-light-cam...

That article does not mention speed cameras, however I did locate the police dept information and they indicate all the cameras are able to detect red light and speed violations. The locations covered by this jurisdiction will be changed to include speed and will be available in today's updated file.

Thanks!

If it's a red light/speed

If it's a red light/speed combo, how does POI Factory handle it?

In my opinion, speed camera should take priority as they're more dangerous.

Unless we have three CSV files:

1) Red Light
2) Speed
3) Combo

Just my two cents.

hmmm

If it gets in the RLC and the Speed - problem solved. I don't understand the concern. Can't see where a third file would be of any more help.

show up as RLC/Speed in the red light file and just speed in the speed camera file. Since you obviously live in the area, can you email Angela with the camera coordinates and the posted speed limit at those locations? It helps anyone traveling through the area.

Well, I have different audio

Well, I have different audio files for different cameras, for example:

Red Light Camera - "redlight.wav"
Speed Camera - "speed.wav"

The wav file name has to match the csv file name.

How do we do that with combo cameras?

If you have both files....

....downloaded, it will show that it is a speed camera and a red-light camera. Normally the distances set to alert for the speed and red-light cameras will be different. Therefore, you will receive one and then the other.

55?

Are you sure the speed limit is 55mph for this? I'm pretty sure it's 45:

-91.01758 41.45936 R/Speed 55 - US-61 & University Dr @55 IA Muscatine poi-factory Nov06 13
