Lifetime Traffic update

My 855 has been telling me that there is an update for LT software. How do I go about updating it?

WU or GE

Garmin's WebUpdater software or Garmin Express software should work.

I have not seen any updates of any kind for my 855 in a loooooong time! That includes traffic, but then I have always kept it up to date.

Correct. My old (and discontinued) nuvi 750 and 855 have not been offered firmware updates for quite some time and it's certainly possible that future firmware updates will be very rare or may never be offered. When there are other updates (e.g., Voice updates), WebUpdater, Garmin Express or myDashboard should offer them to you even when there are no firmware updates. Your 855 should have been offered several voice updates this past June since it uses the "large filesize, higher quality" voices:

You could login to my.Garmin.com. No need to go to the Garmin website first. wink
