TomTom Android App Version 1.3 Released

It appears that TomTom has released version 1.3 of their Android app in Europe. Presumably it will be released soon in North America. (They have previously done staggered releases of their PND apps to reduce peak demand on their servers, so that may be happening here.)

I have heard that there is a problem with the TomTom app (and a number of other apps) on both the Nexus 7-2013 and the latest Samsung phone. It is said to be a Google problem, and Google is said to be working on the issue. I don't have either one, so I cannot comment from personal knowledge.

It's a screen resolution
It's a screen resolution problem that was the problem. According to all accounts the new version isn't due out yet. So whether it's an Android issue or a Tomtom issue it doesn't matter to me. A while ago the play store was having a sale, so I had a hunch the new one was on it's way.
USA App Out
I got both the Europe and the USA updates this morning.

Does it allow for maps to SD
Does it allow for maps to SD yet? That's the biggest thing holding me back.

I have tomtom for android and it instal himself on my sd card.
I have also Navigon and it is install on the internal memory.
My cell. is a Samsung Galaxy note II.
During the instalation, i have no choice on witch memory it will be install and no choice in the phone to transfert it from one memory to an other.

I trust there is an xml file you can edit to get this to work, assume you have root access.
For the SG SII - Yes
I have a Samsung Galaxy SII and I have the choice to put the TT (or any other app) on either my phone or my SD card.

What about the maps though?
What about the maps though? They have to take up a good size chunk of your free space. I have a 64GB card in my phone and want to put them there, not the couple of free gigs of space left on the phone.

On The SD Card

On my Samsung Galaxy S3 the map is on the exterior SD card. I do not remember making that selection, so I assume that it was automatic. Even if it WAS a manual selection, at least I was given the option.

My maps are on my external SD card also. I think I remember making that choice the first time I installed it, but it has been awhile.

Multiple installs
Can it be installed on more than one device? On occasion I use my Nexus 7 tablet and tether it to my phone when I need more screen real estate.

Once you purchase an app, it can be installed on all of your devices. Assuming of course, that the device is supported by the app...
