Multiple GPI Files with Categories

Was wondering if someone could help me with loading multiple GPI files on my Nuvi's and Zumo's? I have a number of GPX files that I keep on my units with all the associated BMP and MP3/WAV files - and some of these are TourGuide files. Instead of using POI Loader in manual mode because of all the file categories I have (and because I set the TourGuide distances manually), I've tried using POI Loader to build separate GPI files on my PC, renaming the GPI on the PC, and then transferring to the GPS. For example, I have Restaurant.GPI (with multiple restaurant brands), as well as Hotel.GPI, Sightseeing.GPI, etc. - about 10 categories in all

My problem is that when I then go to the GPS and select EXTRAS - CUSTOM POIs, instead of separate "categories" (hotels, sightseeing, sports, etc), I end up with all of the individual files that were in the categories.

Is there a way to build and maintain separate GPI files and load them on the GPS so there are separate categories under CUSTOM POI's? Thanks for any help.

what Dorkus Nimrod (and charlie) is saying

To build the files you want, you need to have a separate folder for each category. You will need a Restaurants folder with all the files you want associated with this category inside the folder. This is what POI Loader will see and create a Restaurants.GPI file. Instead of having all the restaurant brands included in a single file, you will need separate files for each brand (you can still do a Search All) to locate the restaurants nearby. As you state you are using GPX files, you can build the alert distance into the file(s) allowing POILoader to run in Express mode. At least this is how it works for my 885. Newer units may be different.
