Can I Export routes from BaseCamp to my Nuvi 260w?

I've done some searching on the web and in gps forums, but can't find a definitive answer whether or not I can import to my nuvi 260w routes created in BaseCamp. (I originally built a route in BC, exported it to my nuvi, received the message that it was a successful export, but can't find it on the nuvi.)

Does anyone have information to add to, or resolve, my quandary?

Thanks for thinking about this!

Your unit does not support routes..

In fact, Charlesd45 answered your question a few days ago.

Routes for 260W

No routes but I have had good results using Gary Hayman's tips to accomplish something close.

BoxCar answered one way, Charles45 another. The Garmin description neither says yea or nay about supporting routes. Thus my continuing toward a final determination. I am giving up on using BaseCamp as a companion for the nuvi 260w.

If you look at the specs for your model it says 0 routes. See http://reviews.cnet.com/car-gps-navigation/garmin-nuvi-260/4...

as the specifications for your unit says it does not support routes, Charlesd is correct. My answer is for those units that do support routes and I didn't think about checking if yours supported routes before posting.

I appreciate everyone's taking the time to provide me w/ more information...and I accept that my nuvi 260w will not utilize routes.

My next question regards the relationship between BaseCamp and my nuvi 260w: Just what will BaseCamp do for the nuvi 260w? I understand that the nuvi can provide tracks and other info to BaseCamp, and BaseCamp can read the nuvi's maps, etc., but what can BaseCamp do to enhance the nuvi?

BaseCamp to Nuvi Way-Points

I use BaseCamp to preplan trips. Saving Way-points along my intended route. I load these to my Nuvi 50 and use them as a series of small trips to achieve the intended route. After loading onto the Nuvi from BaseCamp I clear all the current "Recently Found" data and before I begin my trip I choose as a "Where To" each intermediate Way-Point in the correct driving order so that they can be retrieved in the correct driving order by scrolling to the bottom of "Recently Found". Occasionally I need to add a another Via-Point on the Nuvi itself to achieve the intended route because the Nuvi has chosen a different way than BaseCamp did originally. To make this process easier I use a number in the name of each Way-Point, like "1-Waypoint, 2-Waypoint, etc.".

Routes

Many years ago I had a Nuvi 350, my first Garmin.

It too could not do routes. My way around it on very, very long drives was to pick my estimated destination and then add several via points in between.
