Reinstall map
I did the map and firmware update last night through Garmin Express. It saved the maps on the SD card since the internal memory was insufficient.
This morning the GPS reported that the Maps could not be authenticated.
I am not sure what this means and how it will affect its use.
My unit is the nuvi 3790 LMT
Software version 5.00
GPS Firmware 2.60

Rob, I think that error will cause problems on your nuvi, so you should reinstall the map using the GarminMapUpdater program.
Many users have reported this error with Garmin Express, so until Garmin gets the kinks worked out you are better off sticking with the old Garmin Map Updater.

You beat me to it. Yes, the best bet is to reinstall the map with GarminMapUpdater. If that fails, a call to Garmin Tech Support may result in their fixing the issue for you.
