Red light camera must show "a positive impact on public safety"

Red light cameras must show that they are actually installed for public safety (on state roads) now in Arizona

This applies to new camera installations and previously installed cameras will be reviewed every three years.

Signed into law today

good

I wonder how they will put together that data.

definition

is going to be the key word, what actually shows 'for the public safety'

Just Arizona

Well this just applies to Arizona. If/until it gets appealed up the chain to the Federal level, it will have no impact on any other state.

subjective

I think we've seen it here on this forum, that "rights" outweigh physical safety, in many folks' minds. So this debate really isn't going to get anywhere.

Can you save a life yet at the same time violate a criminal's rights? Many here say the ends do not justify the means. I say when you get more practical and stop being philosophical, you do the right thing.

imho it's a joke to say there is justification to red light running, we need to prove otherwise.

ha ha people speed up more, and slow down only where they see the cam
