Found Nuvi 610-660_OM_EN on Garmin -- Can it be safely deleted?

Found this file on the root directory of Garmin 660... It appears to be a .pdf file.... Can this be safely deleted to save space? 1.42Mb in size.
It appears to be an owner's manual.

I would back it up to your computer 1st

It can be deleted. Back it up and the entire garmin before deleting anything.

That file is the owners manual for the 610\660 series Nuvi.

It came installed on your 660 when newly purchased.
I backed my 660 up as soon as I received it and it appears in my root directory also. Since I have a backup already I have deleted it to save space, you can safely do the same after copying it to your PC as member pwohlrab indicated.

If needed, you can still download it from Garmin where it is currently available.

If you remember, my directory has many cross linked files, so I can't backup.. And I chose not to blast everything and start over...

But the Garmin 660 keeps working fine...

I know I'm traveling on a potentially scarey situation without a backup, but I have chosen not to do so.

Have 33.6Mb free now on

Have 33.6Mb free now on internal drive, and 4.6Gb free on the SD card, where maps now reside.
I did not remove old maps on internal drive.
POI's loaded on internal drive.
