I uploaded 135 POI but only 40 are showing up

I uploaded a POI file that has 135 POI into my Garmin 1490T.

When I go into the POI file to verify, only about 40 are showing up.

Is this normal as the device will only show POI in a certain proximity to my current location or do I have a different problem?

I'm thinking..

you should be able to see them all. You might have to hit the arrow key at the bottom corner of your unit though. I can go to any given poi file on my 765T and see places hundreds of miles from my location. They should be in order of proximity to you.

Its normal

You will generally only see the closest 50. And some could be hundreds of miles away if they fall in the "closest 50".

That's true but only the first 50 or so are actually listed, even if they are hundreds of miles away. If you had a POI file with 1000 locations within a few miles of your current location, your Nuvi would still only display the first 50, or so, at one time.
