Nuvi 260w alert distance question

Can I change the alert distances on my nuvi 260w? When I open my proximity points screen it appears the only option is single or continuous tone; can I set the distances so as to make the rest area poi more effective?

Yes

Yes, but it's not a nuvi setting. When using POI Loader on your computer to load Custom POIs to your nuvi, change POI Loader from the default Express mode and choose Manual mode. This will let you individually determine whether alerts should be active or not for each Custom POI csv or gpx loaded and lets you select whatever alert distance you want.

I use 15,000 feet for Rest Area alerts.
