It seems to me that the moderator would be a perfect employee for a authoritarian nanny state government. Closing the "Looks reasonable to me" thread accomplishes nothing.
The day will come when "We the people" are going to decide that we have had enough of the power grabbing scum that seem to keep getting elected and we return to a country of self-reliant freedom loving citizens.

I disagree. Both protagonists in the debate had firmly entrenched themselves and were refusing to give any ground to the other side. Thus, tired of all the back and forth with neither side gaining, an armistice was declared.

This site has always had the best moderators around. I thankfully must have ignored the thread referred to but no one should be critical of the folks that run this site.

Unfortunately it's not the first time both of these members disagree with one another and it's clear that whatever one writes the other will immediately challenge & counterattack.
Exchanging viewpoints/opinions is one thing but in this particular manner it's clearly unhealthy for everyone and must be stopped immediately. As a moderator not only would I have closed the thread but I would also have given a firm warning to both parties with serious consequences if this sort of behaviour continued.
As for the o/p of this thread, if your not happy the way decisions are made around here discuss it in private with the owner/moderator and then decide for yourself if you should just move along.

I have no problem with what anyone posts. I do exercise my option of not reading anything that certain people post. For all I care they can write 50 pages and I will ignore it. As far as I am concerned as long as threats of violence are not being made people can write what ever they want and I will decide weather or not to read the posts.

I took out the baseball bat from the rear seat walked up to his truck and very calmly said to the jerk "If you so much as tap my bumper at one mile per hour because you are not paying attention, I will smash every window and light on you freeking Mercedes".

I was quoting a real life experience and not threatening someone for an opinion or thought. Physical damage to me or my auto was involved by his actual actions; therefore my response was quite appropriate.
I would also appreciate it if that when you quote me you use the entire text and not just a portion of it that does not reflect the tone, tenor and flavor of what I was communicating.
