Question about traffic receiver icons

I have a Nuvi 765t and generally do not find the traffic receiver helpful. It seems to register the traffic when I am stuck in it. Too late to do anything. I have a question though. When I am in traffic and the traffic icon displays yellow :02, what does that mean. I always thought it meant 2 minutes but yesterday, I was on the Cross Bronx Expressway and it register yellow :03 but the traffic tie-up lasted the whole span of the highway and it took 50 minutes to get through (shuld have bee 20 minutes).

Traffic Icons

Green icons indicate traffic is flowing freely
Yellow icons indicate moderate congestion
Red icons indicate slow or stopped traffic

As you experienced the Traffic Information is unreliable. Best to turn your radio on to 1010 Wins radio station on the AM dial, they have pretty good traffic information.
I trust that station more than Garmin Traffic receiver.

I don't know what the :02 & :03 numbers mean since I've disabled my Traffic a long time ago.

Traffic

I've also found in the past the traffic delay which is shown in minutes to be inaccurate.

Its the extra minutes it will take to get thru the traffic.

The time such as :02 or :03 is added to destination time. It is the extra time needed to get through the delay. It is never accurate.
The only time I see that is the delay at a toll gate, and there is no traffic. We do not have good reporting in Rochester NY.

Thanks

Now at least I know it is minutes. I thought it might be miles but either way it was not accurate.
