Yellow light duration issues

Just read a recent article that some red light camera tickets might have to be invalidated due to issues concerning the duration of the yellow lights at the affected intersections. Apparently, the yellow duration was shorter than the local requirements specified.

Just something to take a look at if you receive one of these tickets in the mail.

Now that's funny, didn't know there was a duration limit. We have some that are quite short compared to others although the intersection is same size. Of course some intersections are quite large and there fore the yellow is longer. I always thought it was traffic area dependent. Seems that way too. The busier the intersection the longer the yellow.
