NUVI 2450LM VS 2555LMT

I am looking to get new unit to use in another car and I was looking at either a 2450 or a 2555. I do not need Bluetooth or voice navigation and I like the 5" screen. Comparing them on the Garmin website they seem similar. I realise the 2450 does not have traffic but that is not a deal breaker. I have seen the recent posts, very negative, on the trip planner in the 2555 but I could not tell from the website if the 2450 has it. I guess I am interested in what the members have to say about the units.

I own a 2450 and it also has Trip Planner; stay away from it, it is a piece of garbage!!!

I also own a 2450LM and I love it! You must have gotten a re-furbished one.
Traffic
The 2450 does not come with traffic, but it can be added by purchasing the GTM 35 traffic cable.

Nuvi 2450LM vs 2555LMT
I have a 2595LMT and it is basically the same as
as the 2555LMT but the 2595 has voice command.
I think the trip planner is great, once you get familar using it. If you don't like the way you routed the trip, you can edit the via points by
moving(dragging} them to where you like.
When you don't like the way the gps routed you
to your destination. Just add via points to get
you there the way you want to go. The voice
command is not perfect but it sure makes
hands free driving better. Some people don't
like the trip planner or the voice command, but
I want buy another gps that doesn't have them.
