Unlimited data (Verizon)

I ordered a new iPhone from Apple using my wife's number because a Verizon vendor since we both had credits on our numbers had advised me to. She has no data plan. When Apple helped me set it up, I realized our numbers were switched. I went to Verizon and they put a new SIM card in and all was well. The Verizon rep told me the result of this would be that I kept my unlimited Data plan. She has no Data plan and until we change her phone we will continue that way. Curious result, I had no idea this would occur.

Sorry for your confusion. Maybe what happened was beyond some of your abilities to figure things out. I had a different explanation and this iPad lost it and this was a shorter version. Yes I'm amazed that Verizon did this. I hardly need unlimited usage I usually don't use 1G of data in a month so they won't lose anything but since my wife doesn't even have a data plan, this is weird. Now if this is to confusing, lets just forget the whole thing. By the way 1word comments don't make a lot of sense either. In my 5 years on here it's the first time I've felt kinda insulted.

I read your post and understood it. Don's feel insulted, you did ok.

It would be nice to be grandfathered in to an unlimited data plan. Glad you didn't loose it. Verizon is a good company. grin

I have a very similar set up with Verizon. My wife doesn't have data as well and doesn't want it. I have unlimited data and want to keep it. That really helps a lot. I'll keep that in mind when i upgrade next time.
