MAP or roads NOT SHOWING ON GPS..

HI... today I ran into this problem with our 465T.. Put in a destination that I have gone to many times and was told no route available.

We shut the GPS down and restarted. It finds route you can see a MAP and then the maps disappears and we get the error. BUT the voice continues to tell me where to get off. but no graphics... I can see my starting point but no route. I have tried it with my SD card in and out. Same result.

Base map only?

Check under map properties and see if you have a check mark for the map installed.

reset

If maps are checked and still you can see nothing try to change zoom level (+ and - on map screen).

If still no picture backup all your favorites and do hard reset (not only turning on and off).

If this doesn't work maybe map file get corrupted. You can try to download and install latest map again. Just remember that it will take usually a few hours to complete.

hard reset

Hard (or master) reset will reset device to original factory settings (so backup favorites as they will be gone). It should help if device is acting strangely because of some software glitch. You can do it like this:

To perform a master reset on the nuvi 465:

Note: A master reset will erase all favorites* and will restore your device to the default factory settings. A master reset will also clear any entered truck profiles.

  1. Start with the device OFF and unplugged from power
  2. Touch and hold the lower right corner of the screen with an index finger or the eraser end of a pencil
  3. Continue touching and holding the lower right hand corner of the screen then power the device ON
  4. Release the power button when the device powers ON. You will see a new message: "Do you really want to erase all user data?"
  5. Remove your finger from the touch screen when this message displays
  6. Touch Yes. If text language is not in English, this is the button on the right

The device will now reset. Follow the on-screen prompts and then place your device in an area with a clear view of the sky until it acquires satellites.

*Although the master reset will erase all saved favorites, any loaded custom points of interest will remain intact on the device.

Copy link above to browser as for some reason it doesn't turn into hyperlink.

Map version you can check using your Garmin account. Just log in and go to myMaps tab. Next to your device will be listed latest installed map version, and below it option to download it.
