How to avoid the selected road

just bougth 1350. Befor had Mio, and had a option to avoid any road from itinerary for next few miles or whole road itself. I can not find any thing same in Garmin 1350. So any one know?

.

Sorry, but it cannot be done on your nuvi. Only certain high-end models such as the 8x0, 8x5, 34xx & 35xx (I have not mentioned all units).

Custom avoidances

Custom avoidances are available on a small number of nuvi models but I expect that the 1350 is not among them. If seen, they'd be in the Avoidance menu.

~

Instead of custom avoidances, use waypoints to have a desired route, avoiding a particular road.

Detour?

Personally never even tried it, but what happens when you select "Detour"?

Try using a via route around

Try using a via route around the road you don/t want to use. When I travel to florida my 1490lmt routes me through 1-10 to 301 to I75 but I pick a point on A1A as a via point and it will direct me to use A1A instead of I-10. A1A puts me on 301 then to I-75

Hit the stop (navigation) button on the main screen ...

... then go your own way. (The technique works real well with some disco or other preY2K music in your MP3 player). wink

Detour

While navigating on a state route in Wisconsin, the sign said, "Detour. Bridge Out." I hit detour button. Jill routed me 5 miles west, then 1 mile north, then back to my original route. I looked at my paper map and decided to take a nearby gravel road, saving me 8 miles. But Jill was right because I had gravel roads checked in avoidance.

Both my NUVI 3490 & 3590

Both my NUVI 3490 & 3590 have the "avoid road" feature and I love it.

Avoid

Even my 855 has that feature and so does the 3790.
