Manual for Garmin?

I replaced my old 260W with a new 3490LMT. What a difference! Only disappointment is the Garmin manuals. The Starter manual that came with the gps doesn't do much more than describe how to turn the unit on and off. The complete manual downloaded from Garmin is better, but leaves much to be discovered in features and much for trial and error learning.
Does anyone know of any online source that might describe the features on each screen of the gps? And are there features not addressed in the manual, or not easily found paging through the 3490's screens and touching each button to see what happens?
In the meantime, I'll just go exploring. Will be using it on a trip we'll be taking over the holiday.

You already have that. Unfortunately I don't know of online sources that go into greater detail.

It's more helpful than calling for technical support too.

...to answer questions. Right now I'd just like to read a manual that describes all the features of the gps--mainly curiosity, no specific questions or how to's.
Sample questions:
1) the meaning of the various traffic information options;
2) the use and details of the two trip counters on the speed and trip screen;
3) the format of the audio files that the gps accepts;
4) how to use the Trip Planner app;
5) how the Where I've Been app works;
6) is the list of voice commands presented by the gps the only commands it recognizes?
7) the Parking button that appears on the main screen--when does it appear and what value is it?
In time, as I use this toy, I will discover the answers to these questions and others I have.

You've got alot of questions and rightly so. Unfortunately, Garmin caters to the user who needs the basics. Anything beyond that and the manual is useless. Maybe they figure that most users don't even look at the manual and toss it to the side. Garmin has always been this way with their manuals on the nuvi series.
That being said, there is alot more useful information contained on the unit itself with the built-in help system. Check it out...it may in fact answer some of your questions.
In your traffic question for example:
From the Where To? screen,
Settings>Traffic> ? (top-right corner)>(underlined) enables or disables live traffic data>(underlined)Traffic (at the bottom of the screen)
This will bring up the main Traffic help guide which explains (I believe) more than the manual.

Paper has been used by human for over 2000 years. For totally paperless environment, wait another 200 years.
