"More" info in POI's loaded on Nuvi 680

I recently purchased a Nuvi 680 and have been experimenting with creating POI files and loading them using Garmin POI Loader v2.41. All of the info I've read indicates that the Nuvi has the capability to add pictures and descriptions to the POI data for each location, however, I can't seem to get this to work with my Nuvi.

For example, I have loaded the example file gpx file (using POI Loader to create a gpi file on the Nuvi), however none of the pictures or descriptions appear when I access the locations in this custom POI. I get the location, address, and phone number with the phone icon for bluetooth dialing, but none of the additional data included in the file. The only buttons that appear are Go!, Back, Map, and Save. From what I've read I should see an additional button of some type to access the info from the "2nd page"?

Can anyone advise what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks!

What are you using to create your gpx or just using an "example" gpx (where did you get that)

Simply placing a jpg in the same directory as the gpx file doesn't seem to work, as one might think. (However this does work with mp3's or bmp's.)

You will need to edit the gpx file with a gpx editor such as MapSource or an editor called GeePeeEx editor.
Information on how to get these can be found here using the search feature.

Within those programs you will attach a link to the file/url that contains the jpg you want to use for each waypoint.

Then when you select that custom poi from your custom poi list you will get the Go, Back, Map, Save, More buttons, select More and you will get Back, Image, and up down arrows, select Image and you will see the jpg that's associated with that poi.

Another option would be to create a TourGuide file. You can find the instructions in POI Loader help file on how to create a "TourGuide" file which will also allow jpg's and mp3's

All this info is searchable at the poi factory.

........Garmin StreetPilot c550 / Nüvi 765...........

no "More" even when using GeePeeEx

Forgot to mention in my original post that I'm using GeePeeEx to create GPX files and then loading with Garmin POI Loader. I haven't had any luck getting the "more" button to show up for the additional information although when I added JPG files using GeePeeEx they did show up as an icon on the Nuvi screen (and I could select them). When I loaded the example file included with GeePeeEx I did not get the "more" button or the JPG icon.

Just in case my emails aren't getting through...

..and for the benefit of other people wrestling with the Nüvi 6xx series:

The Nuvi 6xx is like the Streetpilot and Zumo, in that it has potentially two pages of information (the Nuvi 3xx tries to do it all on one). However, it's a hybrid of the two and displays an image thumbnail on Page1, rather than an Image button on Page2. Therefore the trick that works with the Streetpilot (of attaching a dummy JPEG)- doesn't have the same effect on the Nuvi 6xx. The only way I've found so far, of forcing that Page2 to display is to 'overflow' the address fields that are on Page 1. This is why I've had to add the Target Device? question to GeePeeEx Editor V1.1.1...
