Fixed an error that caused the parking function to fail on models without Bluetooth.
Fixed an error that caused software updates to update the traffic provider information, whether or not it had previously updated to that version of traffic provider information.
Fixed an error that sometimes prevented routes from recalculating after diverging from the original route.
Fixed an error that caused the device to shut down with some third-party maps.
Increased the size of text when the language is set to Arabic.
Improved route creation by routing to via points in the order they are added instead of reverse order.
Improved software stability.

Thanks for the heads up, just checked it yesterday when I updated the POI's and nothing was available then.
Update of firmware went smooth and sure going to be nice to get rid of the constant update of the traffic provider information even when I had already updated to that version of traffic provider information.

After installing the firmware and restarting the nuvi went into a very slow route calculation. At the end of the calculation it just started recalculating again. I turned it off at the power button and shut down. After a restart everything worked fine.
did the update.. now all the buttons are invisible and the graphics on the main screen are gone all i can see is text that says.. whre to.. Favorites..etc.. so frustrating.. how do i go back to the previous version?
it didnt work. .. all it did was erase all my personal data.. gotta call garmin support tomorrow
I seem to remember reading of this same issue with a 3790 (but with an earlier firmware update quite a while ago) on another forum. If I remember correctly, the unit needed to be replaced. Please be sure to report your outcome here after contacting Garmin support. It may help others with a similar issue in the future.
When is the Nuvi 24xx series update? I'm so weary of waiting for Garmin to release a software update for my 2460LMT to fix the multitude of bugs with routing, MyTrends, TrafficTrends, Traffic icon, sound, etc. Seems like they only focus on the 37xx line and the new Nuvi 40, 50, etc. despite the fact that the 2460LMT is a feature rich unit which rivals even the newer ones with features they don't have. I've called and complained many times. Anyway, I digress. Sorry to rant. Happy for you guys and your update!

they emailed me a 22 megabyte file a .rgn file and an updater.exe.. i tried to initialize the updater with the .rgn file but it wont regognize my usb device. this is so frustrating

Just
Just do a hard reset and that will probably fix your problem. Remember to backup your favorites first.

Try dragging the RGN to the updater.exe. I believe that's how it goes.

gave up on it.. its still
gave up on it.. its still under warrantee. Garmin gave me an RMA number so i mailed it back to them.. gonna get a new one soon lol
