Nuvi 765t, removing numbers from phone book in unit.

Has anyone here figured a way to remove unwanted phone numbers from the 765t ?
A few years ago I vaguely remember reading that you have to remove them from the phone first, then turn everything off for minutes, then turn on, and Voila !

I tried it and it doesn't work for me!!!

Try a hard reset and select "Yes" to remove all user data. Be sure to back up your favorites first.

I no longer have my 765 but I seem to recall that the easiest was was to use a bluetooth menu option to REMOVE the device completely. This will remove pairing and all data associated with the phone. Then re-pair the phone as yow did originally and get a fresh/current phonebook upload from your phone.

Bluetooth

I recall when I used a Motorola V360 with the 765T that the Bluetooth interface was flaky at best. There were times I had to delete the device, power cycle and re-pair in order to get it working temporarily. It wasn't until I got an iPhone 4S that the I discovered the Bluetooth really did work.

To be honest, I had better service with my C550's Bluetooth.

For Future reference, how did you end up solving the problem?

You unpair the phone which erases the phone book entry. Repairing causes a new transfer of the phone book.
