Acquiring Satellites - why slower than before?

I noticed that suddenly my Nuvi 765T takes much more time to acquire satellites. Several months ago it was literally 10 seconds, now it's 2-3 minutes. What gives?

Satellites

must be solar flares ;o)

Mine hasn't changed.

No change in time on either of mine and I have been looking for any kind of change doing anything since the map update. No problems or delays seen.

I've noticed the same thing (longer acquisition times). My phone acquires a location very quickly, but it has the luxury of Assisted GPS which provides the GPS almanac data faster via the network.

A hard reset

Have you tried doing a hard reset? Sometimes that is an easy fix.

Some Days

My Nuvi 765T can lock on right away, other days it takes a long time. Possibly the weather and the sky conditions?

Acquisition Time

If your receiver was used recently (within the last couple hours), it might still have current ephemeris data for some satellites. If so, these satellites can be used in position calculations as soon as their signals are found. (The receiver does not need to listen for 30 seconds to collect orbital data.)
