after 1.5 hours whith garmin support we got to the conclusion that i need to send my gps to them so they will send my a rebuild one. do not have time for that.
main problem:
after software update the clock is not doing the time zone change anymore, besides, the automatic box in the clock is greyed-out.
i'm on the road 3 weeks at once I need the gps.
so, how do i format the gps to re install everything again??
thanks in advance
.
Short answer: if you didn't do a backup when you got it, you're screwed.
If the auto time zone is the biggest problem you have, you don't have a problem. I will presume you have a cell, it will give you the correct time as you pass through zones. Or, just do it manually.
You could try DL'ing the TZmap again with webupdater as well.

Master reset?

I second the notion of the previous poster as it is better having a working GPS with no time clock than no GPS at all.
Having said that, on the Nuvi series problems such as the ones describes could be fixed (sometimes) by doing a master reset. Not being familiar with the dezl 560, I am not sure how this is relevant. Besides my guess is that having talked already to Garmin service, that route had been probably explored. If it hadn't, see page 8 in the dezl560 manual, and here:
